Terms and conditions

Last updated: 17.08.2026.

These terms apply to registration for the 12th International Society of Construction Law Conference (SCLI 2027), held at Sava Centar, Belgrade, from Wednesday 29 September to Friday 1 October 2027. The conference is organised by the Society of Construction Law Serbia.

By registering you accept these terms. We may amend them, and any change will be published on this page with a new date.

1. Registration and payment

Registration is administered on our behalf by Miross d.o.o., Belgrade, our professional conference organiser. You will be directed to their system to complete your booking.

Your place is confirmed once payment has been received in full. Until then your registration is provisional and we may release the place.

All fees are set in euro. Delegates registering from Serbia are invoiced in dinars, converted at Banca Intesa’s selling rate applicable on the date of registration and fixed at that point; that dinar amount is the figure on your invoice.

Delegates registering from outside Serbia who pay by bank transfer are invoiced in euro and must send payment with all bank charges paid by them, so that the full amount is received. Where a payment arrives short, the difference remains payable. Card payments are processed in dinars and attract a transaction fee, which is shown before you confirm and is payable in addition to the fee. Amounts debited by your own bank may differ where it applies its own rate or charges.

The rate you pay depends on the date your registration is completed, not the date you begin it. If you select a rate you are not entitled to, we may cancel the registration or invoice you for the difference.

Fees, what each rate includes, and the separately ticketed events are set out on our Registration page.

These terms also apply to accompanying persons who book tickets for the welcome evening or gala dinner.

2. Who qualifies for the member and student rates

The member rate is available to members in good standing of the Society of Construction Law Serbia and of any other society affiliated to the Society of Construction Law International (SCLI) or the European Society of Construction Law (ESCL). We may ask for confirmation of membership.

The student rate is limited to 30 places and is available to students in undergraduate study only. We will ask for proof of enrolment by email after you register. If proof is not provided, we may cancel the registration or invoice you for the difference.

3. Cancellation, refunds and substitution

Cancellations must be sent in writing to scli2027@miross.rs. The date we receive your notice is the date that applies.

The refund position is set out on our Registration page and forms part of these terms.

You may transfer your registration to a colleague at any time up to 15 September 2027, provided the person taking your place is entitled to the same rate. Where they are not, the difference is payable. Tell us in writing at scli2027@miross.rs.

Separately ticketed events are refundable on the same basis as registration.

4. Accommodation

Accommodation is not included in any registration rate and is not booked by us. Any hotel reservation is a separate contract between you and the hotel, on the hotel’s own terms.

We are not responsible for accommodation costs if the conference is cancelled, postponed or changed. If you book accommodation, consider travel insurance that covers this.

5. Travel and insurance

Travel to and from Belgrade, visas, and all other costs of attending are your responsibility.

We do not provide insurance for delegates. You attend at your own risk and should arrange your own cover for cancellation, travel, medical costs and personal belongings.

6. Changes to the programme

The programme published on this website is indicative. Speakers, session titles, timings and running order may change.

We will not refund a registration because an individual speaker or session has changed. If the conference itself is cancelled, section 7 applies.

7. Cancellation or postponement of the conference

If we cancel the conference for any reason other than one set out below, we will refund the registration fees you have paid.

If we postpone the conference or change its dates, your registration will transfer to the new dates. If you cannot attend, you may cancel and receive a refund of fees paid.

We are not in breach of these terms, and no refund is payable, where we are prevented from holding the conference by events outside our reasonable control. These include natural disaster, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strike or industrial action, government restriction, failure of the venue or of essential suppliers, and failure of utilities or communications.

We are not liable for any other cost you incur, including travel, accommodation, or lost time, whether the conference is cancelled, postponed or changed. You should consider travel insurance that covers conference cancellation.

8. Photography, filming and recording

The conference will be photographed and filmed. Images and recordings may be used in conference reports, on this website, on our social media and in publicity for this and future conferences.

If you would prefer not to appear, tell us at scli2027@miross.rs before the conference or speak to the conference team at the registration desk. Photography of plenary sessions may capture the room as a whole.

Delegates may not record any session in audio or video. Photography for personal use is permitted.

9. Conference app and delegate list

Conference information is provided electronically, through a conference app and by email.

Your name, organisation and position appear in the delegate list in the conference programme. Your name is visible in the app to everyone using it, including sponsors, together with anything further you add to your app profile. If you would prefer not to appear in the delegate list, tell us at scli2027@miross.rs before the programme is issued.

The app is for use by delegates attending the conference. Delegate details obtained through it may not be used for marketing, recruitment or any other commercial purpose.

10. Code of conduct

All delegates, speakers, sponsors and guests are bound by the code of conduct set out on our Registration page, which forms part of these terms.

11. Materials and intellectual property

Papers, slides and other conference materials remain the property of their authors and are provided for your personal use. They may not be reproduced, circulated or published without the author’s written permission.

The conference name, logo and branding may not be used without our written permission.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Serbian law.

Subject to that, our liability to you in connection with the conference is limited to the amounts you have paid us in connection with the conference.

We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or any indirect or consequential loss.

13. Accessibility and dietary requirements

Tell us about accessibility needs and dietary requirements when you register, and in any event no later than 15 September 2027.

We will do our best to accommodate requests made after that date, but the venue and caterers may not be able to.

14. Your personal information

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia. The courts of Belgrade have exclusive jurisdiction.
