12th SCLI International Conference, Belgrade, 2027

The Confluence

Belgrade has stood at the meeting point of rivers, civilisations, and empires for millennia. At the precise spot where the Sava meets the Danube, two worlds have always converged, West and East, ancient and modern, familiar and foreign.

Construction law today is itself a confluence. Common law traditions meet civil law frameworks. Employers and contractors bring competing narratives to the same set of facts. Delay analysts, quantum experts, engineers, and lawyers approach the same dispute from different streams, but must find, somewhere, a point where they meet.

The Confluence is that point.

In Belgrade in 2027, the global construction law community will gather at a city that has always been defined by convergence. We invite practitioners, academics, arbitrators, and institutions from every jurisdiction to bring their own current and join ours.

Where currents meet.
